Martijn Manders

Martijn Manders is maritime and underwater archaeologist. His research is focused on underwater cultural heritage management on a global scale and has a special interest in in situ preservation. He also teaches Maritime Archaeology at Masters level.

For the NEXUS project he organised a training course in Underwater Cultural Heritage Management in cooperation with the RCE, ICOMOS/ICUCH and the UNESCO in St Eustatius.  

Besides working for Leiden University, Martijn is also working for the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands (RCE) where he is Head of the Maritime Programme.
