Alexandra is a Master's student in Arts and Culture at Leiden University specializing in Architecture and Interiors before 1800. She holds a joint Bachelor's degree from the University of Edinburgh in history of art and architectural history. She has previously worked in an art fair organization in Scotland, an experience which led her to become more vocal about the need for better due diligence in the art market. Alexandra has experience in both public museums and private galleries and has returned to academia to deepen her knowledge of history and hopefully pursue a doctorate after her Master's degree.
Her academic interests are cultural exchange between Russia and the Netherlands in the eighteenth century, architecture in the nineteenth century, decorative arts, nationalism, the art market, looting, provenance research, illicit trafficking and destruction of cultural heritage in times of conflict.
