Managing Director Centre for Global Heritage and Development now also Coordinator Honours College

On September 1st Mara de Groot, Managing Director of the Centre for Global Heritage and Development, has been appointed as coordinator of the Honours College Archaeology at the Faculty of Archaeology at Leiden University. The Honours College is intended for bachelor students Archaeology who want to get more out of their education than the regular programme offers. Mara is going to combine both jobs:

It is an interesting and challenging combination in which I hope to combine the best of the LDE educational activities with the Honours programme.

There was already a link between the Honours programma and the Centre for Global Heritage and Development through the MOOC Heritage under Threat (to be launched in November 2016) . The MOOC will also become part of the Honours programma.
