Martijn Manders completed his PhD in underwater heritage management

Underwater archaeologist and lecturer Martijn Manders completed his PhD on Tuesday December 12 at Leiden University. His research was focused on how to best protect and manage cultural heritage in the Wadden sea, a UNESCO World Heritage site. A difficult issue since there are many values and stakeholders connected to the area and the underwater cultural heritage is exposed to many risks.

The Centre for Global Heritage and Development congratulates Martijn with his success!
